Ah yes, another Rarity doll, this time I did on a Fairy Barbie put on a Barbie body because her purple hair was perfect for Rarity. My headcanon of her is that she’s Asian so I tried doing the epicanthic folds to varying degrees of success. I also tried to combat the grinning tooth smile of her sculpt by only painting a small section of teeth and filling the rest in with lip shading.
Her horn is a transplanted Cadence pony toy horn and her dress is a Liv doll dress.
So I tried to give Rarity Asian eyes with Epicanthic folds but I think the fact she has blue eyes cancels out that fact by the way of stylisation. Her horn is stolen from a Cadence toy and glued into her head so yeah. She’s a Fairy Barbie head on a Pivotal Barbie body with Fashionista hands wearing a purple Liv dress.
There are two fabrics I despise on dolls, pleather and Lamé, because both are liable to be worn away and don’t hold up to play well. So I was sad that Scarah’s fab Mod outfit involved both but hey, they were both small enough to fit on my rarity doll, and I know I won’t handle her much so she gets to wear it, woo.
Everything I said in terms of quality for Equestria Girl dolls still applies to this new Rarity (with the exception of hair quality being less likely to hold up to play than nylon) however Becki was awesome enough to pick one with a slightly more mature placement of the eyes in comparison to my first Rarity.
